Yea, lets hope they do that. Businesses cant afford that and the poor would basically cash in and feast on the middle class whether it be through lawsuits or them just opening and quickly closing. The only people able to pay those wages would be the big boys which in turn sends all the money, to them.

Nah its actually not true. A lot of corporations profitability is driven by their ability to pay slave wages, like McDonalds. A local burger shop can charge 10 dollars for a meal but pay its employees 16 an hour with ease; that's what they pay people out in Alberta. McDonalds has extremely thin profit margins but a whole lot of profits, you seewhatimsayin?

I think the elephant in the room is that the world isn't sustainable for human life in another 100 years. We're past saving ourselves from global warming. I think the 1 percent know this and have engineered the global recession to steal the last remanning wealth the middle class had. Like how is the stock market reaching all time highs and banks are posting record profits just 5 years after causing a recession from shady practices? The moment they find a way to habitat Mars or the Moon they will be out of this bytch.

Wage increases take time, I'm talking about 21 dollars an hour for maybe 10-15 years from now. For now it should be immediately 15-16 dollars an hour and that should revitalize the middle class because of all the increased spending. That should also kill a lot of these predatory corporations that pay low wages. America is still the richest country in the world meaning there is a lot of business and wealth to be circulated through commerce but it's being stagnated by these leeches.

Yes. Things are made artificially cheaper by extremely low wages. I'd rather 5 things cost as much as 4 things used to, but be able to afford 6, than 3 things costing what 4 things should, and being able to afford 2.
