But some nikkas on here swore that NBA nikkas are corny for painting the NFL nikkas with a broad brush

:mjlol:

We don't have to :mjlol:

They're creating a masterpiece of c00nery, a piece of art :scust:

Are you really gonna pretend that Silver told them they're standing for the anthem and they didn't make a fukking peep for the rest of the season? Melo's reaction was to say slick shyt about Kap instead of his own commissioner then the rest were quiet. I ain't even watching the NFL this season, but all of y'all are on some bullshyt if you thought the NBA crowd was out there stepping up for anything except what Silver told them to.

He had a c00n as his qb last year RG3
Is RG3 really a c00n though? I know he loves the white women, but I could've sworn he spoke some real shyt last year (around the time Cam was c00ning). I'm sure he does have some c00n tendencies, being a military child and all, but he hasn't really said anything egregiously c00nish, has he?

"And for him to say that 'He hopes' and 'Oh it means a lot to me', I wonder if he has ever, ever read *chuckles* the national anthem in its entirety. Not sing it! READ IT. Cuz you know what, Skip? While he's talking about 'He hopes the world...' and 'It means a lot to me', they singing the anthem about you, baldy." - Shannon Sharpe

Hue Jackson on National Anthem protests: 'I would hope that we don't have those issues'

BEREA, Ohio -- Browns head coach Hue Jackson acknowledged on Monday that he understands the reasons behind NFL players protesting during the National Anthem by kneeling or sitting, but also said he hopes it won't happen with his team.

"I think everybody has a right to do, and I get it, but the National Anthem means a lot to myself personally, the organization and our football team," Jackson said when asked about anthem protests re-emerging in the NFL following the events in Charlottesville, Virginia this past weekend. "I hope -- again I can't speak, I haven't really talked to our team about it -- I would hope that we don't have those issues."

Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch sat on the sideline during the anthem on Saturday night, and Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett sat on the bench with a towel over his head during the anthem on Sunday night. The protests came the same weekend as a white supremacist rally in Virginiaturned violent, leaving one dead after a car plowed into a group of counterprotesters . Two state troopers who were monitoring the demonstrations also died in a helicopter crash.

"With everything that's been going on the last couple of months, and especially after the last couple of days seeing what's going on in Virginia, and earlier today in Seattle," Bennett said after the game according to ESPN , "I just wanted to be able to use my platform to be able to continuously speak on injustice."

This comes a season after former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick knelt during the national anthem in response to police shootings of unarmed black men. Kaepernick remains unsigned.

Jackson said he prefers to address those issues internally.

"I understand there is a lot going on in the world. I like to just keep it here. What we deal with, we try to deal with as a team in our closed environment. We talk about things," Jackson said. "Hopefully, that won't happen. I can't tell you it won't happen, but I just know our guys, and I don't think that is where our focus is. We hope the things that are going on in the world get ironed out, but I know right now we are doing everything we can to get our football team better."

The sad part about this statement, it spits in the face of guys like me who spoke out after he was unjustly fired in Oakland. Hue worked his ass of to get that Head Coaching job, and after he got dismissed, some Cacs threw him in the trash like he never deserved to even sit at the table. He's singing this tune now because either he truly believes that bullshyt, or he doesn't want to upset the apple cart in the NFL considering his past. Either way, he's lost some respect, and looks somewhat spineless.

Why is this an NFL problem? Where are the MLB and NBA protestors?
I don't see anything here about nba players protesting

Kaep excersing his 1st ammended Constitutional right of protest, should no way affect his employment status in the NFL if the league is structured on meritocracy. He has earned the right to play based on the merits of his accomplishments, yet he's been overlooked by teams for players not as qualified since his peaceful demonstration , which possibly reflects collusion based on statements made by NFL executives.

The bigger issue with the NFL and its players not supporting him, is the simple fact he is protesting to protect People Of Color 5th amendment Constitutional right. If People Of Color are not going to receive the same justice, or due process under the Constitution as whites, then we are not living in a true democracy in the United States, and the constitution will continue to be perverted in the interest of White Supremacy.

I don't see players from others leagues protesting. Coli NBA stans somehow made this an NFL thing

NBA and MLB players have guaranteed contracts and no one has said a word. People here think only NFL players can stand up up for black people:mjlol:
