I agree with the officiating being different

Seems like youre just hype about the video tho, maybe its just the nostalgia. If Bron did this in cleveland in the playoffs his team would be just as hype and the other team would be just as mad. maybe he doesnt have a celeb like spike lee to taunt after the dunk but :manny:

Naw if Lebron was in a playoff game and yoked on Anthony Davis like that he would have reached over helped him up and then smacked him on the ass. Would have been a handshake from the Cavs players on the floor while the tech was shot and then play would have resumed.

Ain't shyt like this going on in the NBA anymore. That shyt was raw emotion right there. Bulls players were hype, Knicks players were pissed and in their feelings... that ain't nostalgia that shyt is hype

Nah man. Teams back then had identities. Some teams were finesse and some were physical. The problem with today is, teams can still be finesse, but they don't allow teams to be physical. The closest we got was the Pacers & Grizzlies squads a few years ago.

The Knicks/Pistons used to beat Michael Jordan up. I give him alot of flack for getting too many FT calls on the perimeter, but when he came into the paint he got roughed up like everybody else.

I remember that Pippen dunk, I jumped up and ran outside, everybody in the house looking at like :stopitslime: but people forget that Jordan had retired and Pippen was balling all year. Still think they got robbed in that series. I agree with you on your previous post when it comes to certain players, but I've yet to see LeBron help anybody up that he yammed on. Jason Terry being a prime example, when LeBron sent him to meet "Uncle Charles" he didn't give him any assistance. He didn't give a fukk about Jason Terry on that day.

I wanted to add. If a Martian flew in and asked us to describe 1990s NBA I would show him that video. All the cast of characters are there. The all stars, the super. Fan, the well known announcers, the packed house. I miss being 15 :mjcry: I used to almost believe these guys could fly.

You're right with the assistance but let's look at it.

Two teams that are rivals, two teams who should hate each other, big play in the game, crowd gets hype as fukk and the players are just sitting there like :dame:. Ref calls a tech for nothing, Chalmers looks like he's going to help Terry up but another Celtics player does it first, and there is NO emotion whatsoever there. If I was in the crowd I'd be like :what: because the players should be hype as fukk after this and all you get is a dead feeling. This is what I miss about the NBA.

BACK in the day players wanted their bred they wanted to get paid but that shyt was secondary, when they laced up they kicks it was about winning that ring, they stuck with their teams because the shyt was like family and they wanted to win together so the emotion was real, shyt is different now.

Look at the one thread on Deandre Jordan I think...big loss then he goes and kicks it with the other team a couple hours later, every nikka on the Clippers should have been in his ass. Like someone else said it's just a big ass frat party but instead of there being rival feats everyone is in the same one.

Excuse my :flabbynsick: rant
