Ignorance is not a defense.... His father reportedly died of aids.... he probably didn't have the best upbringing in the world. But he did allegedly disseminate child pornography. If guilty, he should serve some time in jail or on probation (less than a year in my opinion), given community service and mandated counseling.

He definitely should not skate.

Edit: in my original post I stated that I disagree with the allowing a child to have sex charge... But I agree with the child cruelty and child pornography charges

Again I disagree. You(and many other coli posters) tend to be blinded by a new excellerated form of gender bias(i've seen this on both sides). Yes she is the victim, but the boy should not do time in jail as you say. That really does not help kids. He needs the counseling(quality counseling not BS) that gives him full awareness of what he has done and a more effective punishment. The objective should be to correct he issue, not just to 'get somebody' like the current system is designed.

Free the guy.. He's a kid and made a dumb mistake .. Suspend him, put him in counseling, don't send a teenage boy to jail over a vid that she consented to..
All the while she on Instagram making light of it all asking for female nudes in her dms..

Punishments for crime is not about "getting somebody" ... Punishments act as deterrents....

Some better than others... this crime has a punishment. If he put out the video, then he deserves the stated punishment. Whether he was 16 and ill-raised or not. Rehabilitation and growth is his personal choice...

originally the school wasnt gonna do much of anything until that video popped up all over the place.
