Rocky came through with genuine brilliance on Live.Love.ASAP. I really thought it was gonna be the resurrection for New York rap - mecca shyt. And instead of championing the creativity while forcing him to up his lyrical game, you shytted on him and asked him to water his sound down.

The more you ask underground artists with potential to water their shyt down to fit your sheep tastes, the more Drake wins. Because Drake will co-opt your gimmick, probably do it better than you and run with it since he's got the biggest platform.
