How y’all feel about new industry trend — the deluxe album?

What’s up with this? A deluxe used to mean 3 extra tracks. Not all albums that dropped had a deluxe either. Sometime it used to be a deal with a specific brick and mortar retailer or iTunes or an international edition thing.

All these dudes are dropping whole other albums now and calling it a deluxe.

Go look at Nav and Uzi deluxes. It’s whole new albums. Lil Baby threw out 6 tracks for his deluxe.

A-Boogie and Durk got a deluxe coming soon too.

It’s a new trend in the industry that started this year. They may do it too.

nav dropped his deluxe like 3 days after his album dropped and it def boosted his streaming numbers for his first week

I prefer to them to do the deluxe instead of dropping 50 songs at once. I couldn't finish chris brown's album due to the excessive number of songs on it.

And good for them. They get more money and their fans get more music

The do it because they can drop an album, see what fans are reacting to, and then drop more songs in that vein. It also extends the life of albums in this microwave society. Reheats them
