A nuclear holocaust is more likely to happen in our lifetime.
Man, I can't remember who it was...some historian or politician that said it's downright shocking that we haven't had a full blown nuclear war yet.
Especially considering how close we came (several times) during the Cold War.
I wish I could remember this quote about it.

Another world war could easily pop off and the people likely to be fighting it all have nuclear weapons and drones and shyt like that. Things could get ugly in an instant.

You consider a volcanic eruption climate change? No snark just asking?
No. Volcanic eruption is a natural disaster.
But the melting of the ice caps as a result of higher levels of carbon is probably man-made. And that will cause a catastrophe.

I've known since a very young age the world as we know it would end in my lifetime, so i feel the same as i do now. Not the end of the earth, the earth was here before us and will continue on long after humans are only fossils like dinosaurs. I mean the total collapse of modern society. Live without regrets, prepare for the worst but expect the best.

It's already happening. Empires always go through the same stages and the cycle repeats itself.

1.Revolution
2.Idealism
3. Growth (Economic and Military)
4. Maturation
5. Decline
6. Corruption
7. Collapse

Every empire has risen and fallen along the same lines from Greece to Rome. The difference is this time it's global.
