i think the casting for man of steel was a perfect storm. id rather them pick appropriately again rather than go after names or novelty tbh

Berhs this a reboot, and some interpretations of Luther has him the same age as superman ,and I don't see them casting an older actor
I see them casting someone who can be smug and ruthless and with that said if I had to pick a guy who's not on the radar who could pull off the role. Opposite Henry cavil its none other than the King of the North

vin diesel. NOW BEFORE ANY OF YOU JUMP ON ME FOR SAYING THAT, LET ME EXPLAIN!!! Vin diesel looks exactly like lex Luthor from the tv series, he has the exact voice from the tv series, not only that, but we could see vin in an entirely new role that he has never tried before. At least, I haven't seen it yet. Him playing the intelligent egotistical maniacal power-hungry leader. Couldn't you picture him in that role? And besides, he could pull off the kryptonite power thing too if they brought that in.
