Tbh I think 2017 is their last year together. It's almost time. I know Big E will be a star for sure, but hopefully Kofi can get a big push as well.

I would actually go against the grain and have Kofi be the one to turn heel. He can claim that New Day made them soft and how he gave Big E and Xavier a platform.
Do a Big E and Kofi singles match where Kofi cheats to win. Do Kofi vs. Champ and kofi wins the title.

It cracks me up everyone wants Big E to be the star since he's big and thick

So he E and X stay tagging with kofi playing hype man
They fued for the tag belts, grabbing them and dropping them while fueding with the Fashion Police, Usos, and American Alpha
MItB is on the way and they're no longer champs
But that's ok
Because New Day is in the Mitb ladder match! And when they win, they'll all be Mr Money in the Bank! And then New Day with the power of positivity will all be W-w-e Wor-ld Heavy-weight champions! Becauuussseeeee....etc

The match is New Day, Corbin, Ziggler, Zayn..whoever
What's important is New Day is clapping and skipping they asses to the ring when they're stopped by Shane
"Kofi? Where you going bro? You're injured you can't compete"
So the ladder match happens and because of Kofi Big E wins the belt
New Day are the Misters Money in the Bank
And they hold that shyt til a few weeks before Survivor Series
Kofi finds Big E knocked out backstage
Xavier is no where to be seen..kofis like "we need help here! Someone help! Xavier where are You?"
Later that night though we see Xavier arrive... homeboy was late
In the main event the champ (whoever ) just won against whoever when Kofi makes his way to the ring with the MiTB and cashes in! And he wins! Kofi Kingston turns heel and win the belt in the same night
Next week he explains
"I was the one who held the tag belts longer than anyone. I was paired up with clowns who succeeded off my work...well no more. This isn't the New Day this is My Day, My world, my championship ! No more clowns like Xavier Woods claiming my success. He'll all Woods did was play the damn trombone. No more unicorns, no more trombones, no more hip grinding..just a splash of Paradise!"
Then he'd hold the belt til Royal Rumble
In between then he defends it. Once at a PPV against Big E...then he loses it to whoever at the Royal Rumble because Xavier Woods does a run in...
So at the next PPV we get Woods/Kofi...with Kofi winning because of a botched run in by E.
At Mania we get a triple threat between the New Day...and also Kofis last match
Afterwards E gets a single run on Smackdown and Xavier gets moved to 205 Live to become the New Cruiserweight Champ
