Pretty much every Warrior, sans Klay, has little to no problem with physical or rough play.

I don't think people really watch the Warriors but Curry isn't some cupcake. He plays through physicality pretty damn well and he'll do all kinds of veteran tricks (Push off and into screens, swipe hands, jersey pulls, etc) to get fouls or create space.

Draymond is a 6'8 bulldog who regularly battles against dudes who have 3-4 inches and weight advantages without being an elite athlete. He's very fukking strong and very tough. He's not bothered by physicality.

The Warriors were the best damn defense in the league. You don't get that with a bunch of princess players. People see Baby face Steph, Aussie Bogut, and Klay hitting pretty threes so they think solely finesse players that can't take contact.

Bruh.... Warriors are a strange, scary team bruh..... They not to be fukked wit til further notice :merchant:

Get physical with them...... Force Steph to play on both ends...... If or when you can knock Steph on his ass when he's going to or in the paint...... Klay will shyt himself and Draymond wouldn't have or show the same confidence...... 89, 90 and maybe 04-08 (:francis:) Pistons squad would have figured it out EVENTUALLY........... Any 91-98 Bulls squad would smash..... No need to play build a team..... This thread is rigid lol........ Who has played physical with the Warriors??? Are you asking about players now or all time??

it's cute u nikkas think gettin physical with the warriors is what will beat them....fukkin cute. Who on that team is super soft? they've played every single team in the league since last season...what team pushed them around? when have they ever looked soft or weak...physically or mentally?

nikka bron just tried to rough up curry and the nikka walked the rock up the court and shot from half court like it was nothing...

cut this nonsense out. You can only beat these nikkas by outplaying them WHILE steph and klay are off their game, especially curry...

Legit just play like the old Knicks/Pacers/Pistons punish him and Klay when they hit the paint hard fouls and physical defense...Put goons in the game to rough them up.

They're really not. People don't realize it yet but the Warriors are an all-time great team along the line of the three Peat Bulls, Showtime Lakers, Big 3 Heat, Threepeat Lakers, etc.

You got 5 guys, in the starting unit, who can initiate a multitude of offensive sets and can take advantage of any weakness in a lineup. They got multiple great defenders and playmakers at almost every position, plus off the bench (Iggy and Livingston are matchup nightmares), and it's fueled by a 6'4 guard who can't really stopped by current defensive schemes.

I don't think people understand exactly how good Curry is at threes and what it means but Curry turns close games into blowouts in like 5 possessions.

And, IMHO, I think Golden State structured their team right. I'm of the belief that a championship team shouldn't have its most important offensive piece shouldn't be the defensive anchor too. The speed of the game is too fast and too physically demanding. It's why you see Butler's and George's and even CP3's struggling in the playoffs.

Draymond's emergence came at the perfect time.

I think the 1-4 pnr is what you primary have to stop, or contain. I'd leave a very agile lengthy small ball 4 on curry and make Draymond go at the pg. I'd take my changes and have someone help off Barnes or Iggy on Draymond drives

Play rough with a skinny, elite three point shooter that fires threes quicker than most people can blink, brehs

Big bumps don't effect Curry that much because he's not an above the rim player. His scoop shots and touch also mean he don't need to leave the ground so trying to be rough is dangerous because Curry is an instant microwave.

Playing physical is just gonna get you put into the bonus or have the refs swallow the whistle when Bogut or Green lay into you with a hard/illegal screen.

Curry is also a pretty damn dirty player (All the Warriors are) in regards to how he'll push, poke, shove, and so forth to get space because he knows he's given the benefit of the doubt. People should really watch Curry, off ball sometimes. He'd probably have nikkas wanting to fight if he was at the Rec.

Playing overly aggressive with Curry is asking to get that three point foul abused. He fires too quick and you have to close out too hard to actually contest.

Honestly, I think the best way to stop them is try to do most of your damage while Curry is on the bench and to go all in on offense. Try to match their firepower, push the pace, and just try to blitz them at the beginning of the game.

The Clippers have the personnel but you can't trust them when it matters. If they just had one killer from the perimeter I could see them taking GSW, I'm guessing that's what they thought they'd get in Pierce.

You're not stopping Steph... you basically have to neutralize Draymond Green and his "rebound to fastbreak" ability. That's what starts getting them going, when he gets the defensive rebound, and the opposing team is scrambling on the break. Some teams have tried cross matching up with him, but I'd say, just keep the shyt basic, have a guy that's comfortable guarding a 4 that gets up and down.

I honestly think OKC with KD at the 4 will be a damn good matchup for GS.

Nobody has proven that going "big" against them works. Draymond can guard guys much bigger than him so there's no point of even playing that game against them. Unless you have a Demarcus Cousins type, but even with him, if GS gets a few stops/no calls against him, dude probably gonna be taken out of his game mentally so...
