Any body below skyfather (silver age superman, full powered Shazam, sentry, specter, classic strange, silver surfer) wouldn't even survive the Frieza saga

Now I'm just picturing an X-men vs Dragonball fighting game... that would have been goatworthy :wow:

NOTE: By Dragonball I mean the OG version when Goku and friends were still kids (or the 23rd Budokai era at the latest).
I rock with X-men, but those characters wouldn't stand a chance against Super Saiyans.

Dragonball age goku and krilin vs. your average marvel villian would look like:

I'll never understand these DBZ fans who think they can beat every fictional character ever (particularly comic heroes/villains). My theory is the action scenes in DBZ look like they occur on a bigger scale than animated adaptations of comic book scenes due to the full animation and uncensored violence.

Every comic hero's onscreen counterpart is scaled down considerably (usually to a city leveler at most) to add more tension and a sense of vulnerability. Justice League and the X-Men would look too powerful/invincible if they were allowed to go full out with their powers as in the comics.

If we're going by the 22nd Budokai/King Piccolo era, it wouldn't be that unbalanced. At that point, Goku, Krillin, and Tien were already on par with Master Roshi himself, who was strong enough to level mountains and blow up the moon with a single kamehameha. Plus, at this point, most of the DB characters couldn't fly yet, making the game balance a bit easier to manage.

theres far too many psychics among the x-men for me to believe they wouldnt stand a chance. hell let all the summers kids run around unchecked and the z warriors have a problem on their hands.

Sorry breh, but I just can't see it. It would be interesting to see these characters fight in comics, but for the purposes of balancing a video game... Thor, Phoenix Jean Grey, Silver Surfer, Doc Strange, Magneto, Hulk, and the Juggernaut are among the few Marvel characters I could see capable of going toe-to-toe with Super Saiyans. You can't have SSJ2 Gohan out here losing to Spider-man in a fistfight. Marvel characters vs the OG Dragonball cast (or the 23rd Budokai era DB characters at the latest) would be a much more even fight IMO.

Now DC vs DBZ on the other hand, would make a bit more sense to me. Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Martian Manhunter vs. the Z fighters would be lit.

EDIT: I think the biggest design issue would be how to balance the game when nearly every significant DBZ character can fly and a decent number of the Marvel heroes can't.

the z warriors dont seem to have any psychic defense that ive seen. so unless those are things theyve gained in super, i dont see how theyre gonna stop emma, jean, the nates or rachel if they want to put them down. video game wise despite them all being psychics, they have completely different flair. even nate grey/nate summers, who are basically twins hold themselves in completely different ways.

I can't argue with that, against psychics, they're mostly defenseless. It's too bad Chiaotzu wasn't stronger. His powers could have been dope but they never really worked on any villains who were actually important.
