His own constituents said they wanted a $15 minimum wage even though Manchin said they didn't need it. He was already offered pork to go to West Virginia to get him on board with the infrastructure bill ("b-b-but wEsT vIrGiNiA wIlL lOoK lIeK wAkAnDa!") and he turned it down and thought being offered it was beneath him.
So, no, get the fukk outta here. Manchin is, to his credit, savvy enough to play the "Aw, shucks!" act, but he does not give a damn about West Virginia. It was already exposed months ago that the only reason he wants the minimum wage set at $11 is because his family owns businesses that only pay $11 and they don't want to pay $15.
