What’s wrong with having a ceo to run the Treasury or the World Bank? Historically, executives and businessmen have held the position. Rubin, O’Neil, Snow and Paulson were all CEOs and became Treasury Secretaries. The World Bank has had less big business types in recent years but historically high ranking executives of Chase, First Boston, Bank of America, Ford, JP Morgan, and smaller investment banks held the President position.
