I have no issue with enforcing our immigration laws, but I've been very consistent on my view that holding business accountable is a required part of that plan if you actually want to make a change.

And there is the crux of the issue, can't have it both ways. The same people who choose their profit margin first, are the same ones screaming about illegal immigration, effectively playing both sides to avoid taking responsibility for their part.

A significant portion of those who come here do so not for the antiquated concept of an American dream, they come here because there is guaranteed cash labor here that will require nothing of them but to get here. Imagine if those opportunities barely or did not exist.

I agree thats a problem with this country. I'm not trying to have it both ways, though. Always been against business exploiting illegals labor to undermine American labor. Same premise as outsourcing American manufacturing - they are just finding a way to "outsource" in-house.

The only real solution is to go back to pre-NAFTA border policy and make any migrant follow the already established immigration protocols. Those "draconian" measures seemed to work pretty damn well before we opened the border for NAFTA.

A legit quality business owner KNOWS that in order to make long-term profits and a clientele base that is trustworthy, you need to deliver QUALITY and INNOVATIVE goods or services that no one else in the market does. If you come into the cutthroat mindset of making money as your primary goal, you gonna low-ball a ton of your employees and give shortcut services to your customers.
