Is the governments response any difference than its usual response? Or are we judging on a new scale? The government’s response and Biden’s speech in Maui was terrible.
This is why I don't suffer fools who champion that Bernie bullshyt.
America Is Becoming a Social Democracy
The Biden administration is accomplishing what was once thought historically impossible.foreignpolicy.com
Whether you like it or not, the discourse around policy ideas like student debt relief, expanding access to healthcare and parental leave are all further along.
When you get UHC, free college, and 6 month parental leave, then come talk to me about social democracy. TF is this hyperbolic bullshyt.
Whether you like it or not, the discourse around policy ideas like student debt relief, expanding access to healthcare and parental leave are all further along.
There’s also this:
Free college is now a reality in nearly 30 states
Even though the plan to make community college tuition-free was stripped from Build Back Better, the number of statewide free-college programs is growing.www.cnbc.com
It’s becoming clear you didn’t read the article.Discourse? Yes. Potentially heading in that direction? Yes. But actual social democracy right now? Hell no.
I’m judging it on the, “it’s been a bad response“ scale. Is the governments response any difference than its usual response? Or are we judging on a new scale?
So you aren’t answering the question because the truth is uncomfortable to you.I’m judging it on the, “it’s been a bad response“ scale.
You can make excuses and attempt to grade at a curve, if you want.
You are attempting to defend the Biden Admin’s shytty response. It‘s weird, but I do expect this from you.So you aren’t answering the question because the truth is uncomfortable to you.
Generally to call something a failure you’d present some points we can discuss. You are attempting to defend the Biden Admin’s shytty response. It‘s weird, but I do expect this from you.
The government’s response and Biden’s speech in Maui was terribleGenerally to call something a failure you’d present some points we can discuss.
For example, I can say it’s a failure that the alarms weren’t sounded which increased the number of human casualties multifold.
But I asked for something specific, I.e. is the response different than what we usually see? Is there a lack of volunteers? Is there a lack of resources? Is the typical response insufficient due to logistical issues of being in the middle of the pacific? Are resources there m, but not being delivered?
But I expect nothing less from you. It’s always hyperbolic reactions.
