The President will be giving a primetime address on Thursday night outside of Independence Hall in Philly. The topic is the "Soul of the Nation". Democracy and core rights being under attack.

GOOD.

President Joe Biden plans to deliver a prime-time speech this week on how America’s “rights and freedoms are still under attack,” returning to the core message of his 2020 campaign as Americans are getting ready to vote in the November midterm elections.

A White House official said Thursday's address at Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia would focus on “the continued battle for the soul of the nation” and show how the president sees the central argument of his 2020 candidacy remains as salient as ever with the midterm elections coming into clearer focus.

The president will lay out how America’s standing in the world and its democracy are at stake, the official said. Biden will highlight what he sees as progress over the past two years to protect our democracy, but note that rights and freedoms remain at risk.

“He will make clear who is fighting for those rights, fighting for those freedoms, and fighting for our democracy,” the official said.

She has forgiven us, because she has planted the seeds of the future. It will take a decade, but the youth are looking up to her Omar, and AOC. The goal of progressiveness is a constant push, not a quick win. Bernie never understood that.

If you don’t cut out the bullshyt. Bernie is the biggest reason progressive policies have become mainstream.

Most normies couldn’t pick Elizabeth Warren out of a lineup. 🐍 🐍

Well what I would say is that Bernie is biggest reason why Socialism-based Progressive Politics have been popularized, but...

If you look at what Bernie HAS done, it's really been nothing except complain that its not enough... AOC is coming from a district that is heavily blue. When you have that much of a buffer, you can get away saying what you want. Imar this election cycle almost lost her Primary; Minnesota is starting to lean back to Purple, plus your talking about the Midwest which is still heavily white.

If you look at AOC now, she came in as very progressive, but as she has grown accustomed to D.C., she has soften her tone enough to still be that progressive but also play hardball in D.C.; cutting deals.

You could stop right here. Bernie, for his faults, is why these progressive ideals are on the policy table.

The issue is you can't demand politicians to go against the status quo unless the people force it on them. Warren, AOC and even Young Bernard don't have that force with them, and Warren is someone who actually isn't that progressive.
