Been feeling like crap all day, mainly just a headache, complete lack of energy, and chills/cold sweats. Just now starting to feel slightly better. Been around 26/27 hours since I got my 2nd shot.

You probably won't really feel it until later tonight.

I got my shot late afternoon Friday and overnight was when it really started to hit.

shoulder soreness lasted until sunday night and I was fatigued enough to take a mid-afternoon nap on sunday. I was under the impression a stronger reaction meant a person had a stronger immune system. :patrice:

Idk if that's true or not

I had a very minor reaction to the 2nd shot and if what you're saying is true then I've just somehow been lucky the past 20 years or so because I'm rarely sick

yeah I rarely get sick too. my assumption was just based on doctors saying early on that a reaction to the vaccine means it's working and I read somewhere that elderly people tend to have a milder reaction to it cause their immune system are weaker.

Took Sputnik V and had a slight fever. I'll take the second dose later this month:lupe:

Took the 2nd dose on Friday. Felt pretty good for the whole day but woke up with a more intense fever and some chills. Took some medication to quell the fever and it :dead:me. Been feeling great though!

That is false.

Yeah, it doesn't mean your immune system is stronger.

There are two basic types of immune responses. First is the "innate" immune response of fever, inflammation, and general white blood cells which eat the pathogens. Next is the "adaptive" immune response, lymphocytes called B-cells and T-cells which adapt specifically to the pathogen including the production of disease-specific antibodies.

If you have stronger symptoms in response to a vaccine, it doesn't mean that you're producing more white blood cells than someone else and it doesn't mean that your B-cells and T-cells are adapting better. All it means is that that one aspect of your innate immune response - the fever and inflammation aspect - is more aggressive.

However, the doctors are telling the truth that if you have those symptoms, it clearly shows that your body is responding to the vaccine. But someone whose body doesn't have an aggressive fever/inflammation response could still be responding just as well or better than yours.

It's been approved in 59 countries. Light blue shows where Sputnik is being produced, dark green is where it has been approved, light green is where interest has been expressed.

Edit: To be clear that doesn't mean that there haven't been some reservations. Personally I haven't done enough research to have an opinion either way.

Getting my 2nd Pfizer shot today. First one was cool I only had the arm soreness and mild drowsiness the first day but otherwise I was fine. I know the side effects can come on much stronger with the second shot so we'll see how it pans out:lupe:

Was totally fine after the second shot. Had the arm soreness and took a much needed nap on the first day but other than that no side effects
