:whoo: Glad I got me a Cubs hoodie earlier today. Cubs gear bout to triple in price!!! I had to tell these ladies to go to Walmart instead of getting their Cubs gear at the Kohls next door.

First off lol in defense of one of my favorite film characters ever (and the guy i dressed up as on halloween) he had a chip on his shoulder. Marty's fatal flaw was his temper and his inability to control it. So as a grown ass man when someone tested him, he still hadn't learned his lesson and kept reliving being a 16 or 17 year old being called out for his manhood. Only after growing up in the 3rd one did he realize shyt isn't worth it. :salute:
I've always liked Marty's characterization.

His dad was a bytch but Marty always stood up for himself no matter what. Dude had no fear of Biff.

Yeah the "chicken" thing was an Achilles heel but it really highlighted how different he was from George. I respect Marty's G.

BTW, you gonna be :umad: when they announce the inevitable remake or naw? I know it's coming.

2 things: George became less of a chicken once Marty went back in time so at that point, it was just a character flaw rather than an overcompensation

2nd thing, Zemeckis said there's a clause in his contract with universal that they can't remake the movie while he's alive. So it will have to literally be over his dead body. But when or if that does happen, i won't be upset. Remakes don't bug me like everyone else. If they're good, great. If they're bad or just forgettable, then I've got the original to watch and love. A new movie doesn't erase the old one from my shelf

What if someone goes back in time and changes that?

 This film is filled with piff, breh. Imprisonment should be sanctioned for any director even considering a remake.

Let's say even if it were to be remade for arguments sake...what updated car is going to replace the classic Delorean?
The car is a character in this and only works as an 80s inside joke at the time considering it's orgins.

:yeshrug: Shyt don't bother me lol. It really doesn't man. I mean I feel where everyone comes from but I just don't see it the same. If the shyt is dope cool but if it's weak it'll be forgotten. The world moves on and the classic isn't sullied. Everyone wins

Yeah I'm kind of with you on this. I remember everyone being upset at the PG-13 Robocop remake. I was like shyt as long as the original is still available to purchase, I could give a fukk. But I do feel people being lightweight pissed at folks fukking up dope films for the sake of a reboot. Hell think about this I bet 10 years from next year. I'll be 44 and I bet you you start hearing talk about an "Avengers" reboot.
