Many sources say that eating smaller meals, more often, is better for your metabolism. And it works for me, especially when working out.

There's no scientific evidence that suggests eating small meals throughout the day increases your metabolism. It's bro science and has only been "proven" by the individual saying that it works.

Tried intermittent fasting and yes I was lean and in good shape (basically the same condition I'm in now), however I was unhappy, aggitated all day and could not concentrate at work or train at a high intensity. I decided to change it up and found that 3 BIG meals a day works much better for me - I work 10/12 hours a day, train for 1/2 - I don't have time to be eating constantly. I feel full all day, focused, happy and productive in the gym and at work. Best advice is find whatever protocol works best for you and your schedule.

For some people, fasting is the most effective way however it didn't work for me. I also didn't want to spend half of my life dreaming about what I wanted to eat.

Same here. Intermittent fasting worked very well for me. Lost like 5 pounds over a 2 week period. It's not for me though. I was always hungry as shyt. The end result of that was me pigging out when it was meal time. I'd have a smorgasbord of food. I'm talking pizza, wings, cheese fries. All in one sitting. I lost weight eating that shyt, which was amazing. However, eating that shyt made me sluggish and my workouts were half assed.
