The reaction from the doubters are similar to the reaction after the DLH fight.. Floyd is a bigger star now so it's amplified by 100.
Alot of people swore DLH won because he was the aggressor, kept going foward and won some of the early rounds. And then the fight re aired a week later and it was clear who won that fight..
Maidana put up a good fight but I don't think it was as close as people are claiming... People keep talking about him being agrressive and throwing flurries on the ropes, but Floyd was just as busy and landed huge shots within those flurries.
The thing that kind of shocked me is the stuff people arn't talking about much... like how Maidana made Floyd miss big shots that he usually doesn't miss... and his effective use of the jab, when May was coming forward.

Mayweather won and it wasn't really close but I said it while I was watching the fight with my homies, the only thing Maidana did very well/better was jabbing when he got winded and actually throwing uppercuts.
Other than that, it was just wild swinging/praying. Floyd did EXACTLY what he said he was gonna do, and that's sit in the pocket. He could've danced, used his reach advantage and out point him like he did Canelo, but he just stood there for most the night.
If he had fought Maidana like he fought Canelo then this wouldn't even be a conversation right now, there wouldn't be any "Ole ole ole" and everyone would've said the fight was "boring" "Mayweather ran" etc...
And like I said on Facebook, how u miss 600 punches with a guy standing directly in front of you and expect to win?
