This is your hero? Ol living in a fantasy ass nikka :rudy:. He was better when he was rapping about being a regular nikka then all of a sudden he starts dikk riding the mafioso wave. You can tell everything he said on this album was fables. He doesn't even have any conviction or emotion in his voice to make it seem half way true. Name dropping all of the people, places, and connects he has never been, never met, and doesn't have. In retrospect this album is almost comical how he thought he was going to get away with it:lolbron:. Half this album is nothing, but filler bars for the sake of rhyming almost to the point where it is comparable to Canibus. And yall got the nerve to diss Ross and hold this bullshyt in high acclaim?

This little nikka named Nas thinks he live like me
Talkin bout he left the hospital took five like me
You living fantasies, nikka I reject your deposit :pacspit:

I got to say while I fukks with Ross, the big difference is the fact that it was pretty clear that Nas was a narrator while Ross was lying. If he didn't say he never heard of Rick Ross and all that, never said that he really lived it in interviews etc it would be the same thing.

Nas made a movie, Ross acts like he's making a documentary about his life.

Both works, both make great music. I could care less if a nikka who doesn't affect my life lies about shyt though.
I guess some people feel that Ross owes them the truth, but I can only say that he owes me dope music or dope shows if I pay for them.

Why single out Nas? 95% of rappers in history :duck: when they talk about moving keys. Nobody was shytting on ross for his coke raps before the CO shyt. If Ross hadn't been found out as a CO he would have gotten a pass just like every rapper ever

I been saying Rozay is more old Hov /Esco Nas n Biggie nikkas realize that they'll appreciate his last 4 albums way more.

i appreciate his music too I don't care what he was before rap. he is an entertainer... only people that get mad about this shyt actually believe these rappers :heh:

Ross is delusional tho but who cares :manny:

the difference between Nas and Hov has always been that even tho they both had street subject matter it was from different points of view. Nas mainly spits as a narrator observing the streets. Most other rappers wanna tell u they are really about that life :stopitslime:

on top of all that..the lyrical ability displayed on iww combined with the creativity put that fat b*stard albums to shame.

All I hear is excuses. but but but but, he did the same exact shyt. The only difference is one is criticized for it and the other isn't. Nas didn;t do anything but dikk ride the current movement which is already lame ass fukk. Between staring out of his window and creating his life he was obviously running back Ghost, Raekwon, and other nikkas to live out his fantasies

IWW being a lyrical album is the biggest myth in hip hop. Did you actually listen to the album and read the bars? That album has filler bars out the ass. Look at Foxy Brown's verse on Affrimative Action. Are you fukking serious ?:russ: That is the most contrived long winded verse full of fantasies and shyt that never happened that I have ever seen in my life. Let you nikkas tell it that was an exercise in lyrical ability :dead:

I always think about that shyt.

I'm a youngster (22) and I'll wonder what it must've of been like to be a fan of Nas at the time.

You got Illmatic :krs: anticipating the next Nas album, what's he gonna drop, reading little articles to try an get a feel for the album cause there's no snippets or nothing like that and then he drops IWW. Nothing like what was on the first album. Different subject matter and songs. I wonder if Nas fans felt cheated at the time or did everyone get that it was a concept album.

You listen to Ross..the fukk do you know about lyricism?:what:

Yo, weeks went by and I'm surprised
Still stuck in the shelf with all the things that an outlaw hides
Besides me it's bullets, two vests and then a nine
There's a grenade in a box, and that tech that kept cryin
Cause he ain't been cleaned in a year, he's rusty, it's clear
He's 'bout to fall to pieces, cause of his murder career
Yo, I can hear somebody comin' in, open the shelf
His eyes bubbling, he said, "It was on"
I felt his palm troubled him shaking
Somebody stomped him out, his dome was aching
He placed me on his waist, the moment I've been waiting
My creation was for blacks to kill blacks
It's gats like me that accidentally go off makin' nikkas memories
But this time, it's done intentionally
He walked me outside, saw this cat
Cocked me back, said, "Remember me?"
He pulled the trigger but I held on, it felt wrong
Knowing nikkas is waiting in hell for 'im
He squeezed harder, I didn't budge, sick of the blood
Sick of the thugs, sick of wrath of the next man's grudge
What the other kid did was pull out, no doubt
A newer me in better shape, before he lit out, he lead the chase
My owner fell to the floor, his wig split so fast
I didn't know he was hit, it's over with
Heard mad nikkas screamin', nikkas running, cops is comin'
Now I'm happy, until I felt somebody else grab me
Damn!

That's just one of MANY

I don't want to hear that shyt. Nas has never once said that the album was a concept, YOU and OTHER fans said that. When any other rapper did this they were either dead serious about it and intended for it to be interpreted that way, made their entire career of this type of rap, or made it obvious from the rip that it was a concept album. The Cool is a concept. This is just a nikka trying to emulate a style that was popular.

Umm it's simple really...Nas is a great lyricist and doesn't sound out of breath like he's waiting for his next doughnut (Ross)
