One of my parent's friends had one of these in their house in the 80s; i later found out he had dealings with YBI, lol. So the street dude thing is very true.

Same thing with Complex. These guys got aggressive with their content, especially digitally. I mean look at how Complex has taken the spot from Vibe, Source and XXL.

This video might not be the best representation, but the argument of outside media outlets narrating the story of what is largely black culture is valid. The video below might be a better example.

If you let others tell your own story them you run the risk of having them frame the discussion. You’ll never the US let France narrate their own history etc.
