How often do you work chest per week?

I do twice a week now but when I did ud 2.0 I'd do it 4x a week.

2x a week for chest

One workout is power only -- I literally only hit chests 3x5 and some dips

The other workout is high volume shooting for 12ish total sets of chests. (I also hit shoulders on this day too).

The week total turns out to be about 15-18 sets for chest.

@big bun that's a long ass chest day.


Flat bench.
Incline.
Dips.
MAYBE cable crossovers.
MAYBE Decline.

Any more than 4 and you're wasting time imo.
This. I only do 3 exercises and thats Flat Dumbbell presses, Incline Dumbbell presses, and Flat Dumbbell flys because with dumbbells you can go as long as you want without feeling like you're going to drop it on yourself. I hate that feeling.

I usually just go for once a week, but I end up getting bored and doing it around 3x a week

Three times a week flat bench, incline, pullovers, 5 sets of each less than a minute rest between them ,Iam a volume guy, very strict form not so bothered about the poundage .

Full chest day:
Warm-up: Flys (Machine)
Incline bench press (Dumbbells)
Decline bench press
Alternating dumbbell press (flat bench)
Cable crossovers
Incline press (Hammer Strength machine)
Medicine Ball push ups
Incline flys

Thats 8 exercises x Im guessing 3 sets each = 24

Shouldn't it be 5... 6 max?

whats the point of all that chest work, when the back is the most important, chest muscles basically do nothing
