This movie defined Jerry Bruckheimers whole MO. Take a hot actor/comedian, throw them in a fish out of water storyline...disregard dialogue, plot, and let the protagonists natural charisma takeover the story.

Yeah most of the Apatow movies are adlibs because he's such a shytty director, by his own admission . If you look at the DVD extras a bunch of scenes have TONS of distinct takes.

Iron-Man 1 was heavily adlibbed too. They couldn't finish the script in time so they just said fukk it and wrote loose outlines of the scenes instead.
