That and the Color Purple he played the hell out of Boule class villians kinda typecasted him to Black People.

I think when Whoopi Spit in his water and he drank it that was real.

Acting is hard work

Jews send their kids to yeshiva every Saturday for a Jewish education. This colors their perspective on how they view themselves. If I had the power and could create an equivalent to Yeshiva for the black community I would show this movie on Day 1.

I didn’t see waters as a villain moreso an anti hero.
We did have the Hotep movement where teachers gave lectures, Hell they used to play clips of Brother Malcolm and Brother Khalid on rap tapes

But we rejected that. Now we got Sexy Redd.

I guess the day of the Geechie ain’t over.

Peterson didn’t like Waters but the final straw was him getting the white folks involved. That’s when he said someone is gonna kill Sgt. Waters.

He was also surprised when Smalls backdoored him but Smalls didn’t tell him to pull that trigger.

Denzel shot the fair one and got his respect.
Waters was a misunderstood old head who wanted to better the race and took it too far.
CJ represented the type of Black man who could be manipulated against the values of uplifting the race.
Waters saw the war at home and overseas and nothing changed for Black people. He took matters into his own hands.

I don't blame him.
