How much further can TV take the anti-hero towards evil?

wasn't The Shield based on the Rampart scandal? lossely i would imagine, i never got to watch it properly after about the 3rd episode

Because there is no clear good or bad in the story. Brodie can't be pigeon-holed into being a pure villain or hero when the entire plot is based on the premise of treading the fine line and making it conflicting for the viewers.

But the thing is, the backstory with Isa was sentimental, but the average person is going to feel that a suicide bombing isn't the right thing to combat the war crimes the vice president committed. Suicide bombers aren't ever rooted for, yet we rooted for Brody, despite his ultimate mission. That's incredible writing and acting in my opinion.
