How much do you put in the offering plate at church in Sundays?

wait....wut?:dwillhuh:
that's what it's called?
I didn't know it was for us to put money in it
I thought it was the church handing out money to the goers as a token to the community for our loyalty

oops :troll:

Wouldn't the money be better spent buying stuff for the homeless and destitute instead off having your pastor as a middleman?
Maybe, but in reality people don't go to church to help the poor. It's basically a social club for like-minded people, with some entertainment. That's what people tithe for. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Lately ive been considering buying my way into a church community. But I can only part with $50per week without fcking with my existing investment schedules or messing up the side piece money.:sadcam:

:gucci: people really paying tithes

Wouldn't the money be better spent buying stuff for the homeless and destitute instead off having your pastor as a middleman?
Actually, no. One entity paying $3,000 for canned goods has waaaaaaay more bargaining power than 100 different people, each paying 30bucks. You can often get wholesale prices for individual units of goods with bulk orders.

But what does that mean on a case by case basis for these homeless folk?:jbhmm:

It means that your 30bucks can get you exactly 60 cans of beans, but your "middleman" pastor can get 66cans of beans per shopping trip (on the same money). Thats the equivalent of feeding 3 or 4 extra, hungry people.:ld:

Additionally, that pastor "middleman" can get nonprofit credits from your state and local govt, and grants from the federal govt that can add to 10-20% more food being donated.:whew:

But it really depends on how skilled your pastor is at mgmt. I knew a pastor who did all of the above AND signed with govt to let them use his church as a food bank. He worked the system so well that he managed to give govt sanctioned free food to his own congregation(irregardless of income) as long as he allowed outsiders to get food also.:wow:

I'm not trying to shyt on anyone's faith but I hope ya'll tithing $100 a week and shyt have your retirement funds in order cause goddamn that's enough to almost fully fund a Roth IRA every year.
I wish pastors shared this information. MBA-educated pastors got grown adults thinking finance is some kinda wizardry.:snoop:
