it sounds dumb to someone that doesn't invest. yeah, let me sell my goog, amzn, aapl, and voo shares since it'll never recover......
only a dumb ass would sell and not hold shares of companies with trillion dollar market shares for a loss.
Some 401Ks let you pick what you invest in
I didn’t lose anything. I stopped allowing mine to go to the generic ETF’s a long time ago. I self direct so I find something with a lot of on hand cash, out the way, and so stupid that nobody would dare use it for leverage. When sentiment isn’t as negative I’ll park it somewhere more conventional.

You all will be alright. I lost 50k-100k multiple times this year (i manage my own), and have made back the Ls and still in the green YTD. Key is to never buy all at once. Buy at levels to get the best average price possible.

tried to avoid looking, but checked today. Funny thing is I got a position with United Healthcare, Gamestop and AMC and that was the only shyt up
