The US govt has money for everyone.
WW2 Jews
Internment camp Japanese
Worldwide aid programs to dozens of countries.
Even the Native Americans have sued the govt and won (and frankly they deserve it).
But slavery gets nothing?
Look, I know it would be expensive. I know it might be difficult to administer.
But the govt won't even entertain the question. They won't even make a fukkin low ball offer.
It's got nothing to do with "expensive" or not...
THEY DON'T LIKE US. THEY DON'T WANT US HERE. THEY HATE US.
Us wanting reparations to just be "given" to us would be like somebody punching you in the jaw and breaking your arm and then trying to suffocate you and only leaving because they think you're already dead, then you expecting them to pay your hospital bill out of the kindness of their hearts or because it's "the right thing" to do; nah, breh, they did that shyt because they want you to die, they not gonna help you to make up for it, neither are their kids or their grandkids, and their grandchildren's kids aren't gonna help out your descendants. If we want reparations we're going to have to TAKE the shyt.
You guys should really watch this documentary (if you haven't already) about Racism. How they tried to justify it and it is tied to this. Why everyone else gets restitution but Blacks. It was really good. To see that part you just watch part one the second video.
Racism & The Global Genocide Of Black People, BBC Documentary
If I am following right This is part of a 2 part documentary,
Racism: A History
- A documentary which is exploring the impact of racism on a global scale, as part of the season of programmes marking the 200th anniversary of the abolition of slave trade (but not slavery itself) in the British Empire. Beginning by assessing the implications of the relationship between Europe, Africa and the Americas in the 15th century, it considers how racist ideas and practices developed in key religious and secular institutions, and how they showed up in writings by European philosophers Aristotle and Immanuel Kant.
Here is part 1, it might be easier to follow this video in order.
