Above the fray.
@OP,

Have you ever experienced an attempted coup d'etat in your lifetime before Jan 6 riot?

On Jan 6, 2021, MFers rushed the Capitol and the sitting president tried to force and bully officials to allow him to stay in office. And was going to use the momentum of the ones who breached the Capitol to disregard the votes of the American people and stay in office.

Every... single... Election.... cycle

I swear at this point people love being duped and lied to :deadrose: :deadrose: :deadrose:

If cacs wouldn't stop taking away people's rights we wouldn't have these problems.

This is what I give older generations credit for- they took shyt, especially their rights as citizens of the United States seriously.

Also it's voting

:mjlol:you sisses and retards act like you have to do a day of working on a roof.

the problem for me is the current government isnt taking the insurrection as seriously as they should. everyone caught should be doing the minimum of 20 years. not softball numbers

I think everyone knew Kerry would lose in 04, and Clinton was a shoo-in in 96 but outside of that, mostly all of them have been highly contested with plenty of reason to vote.

I’m taking a break after 24. Until the Democrats finally listen to the constituents and produce candidates that really want change, I’m out and voting independent

Maybe because every election has consequences that far exceed the term of the president. People to this day still are feeling the effects of reganomics and the consequences of the bush wars in the Middle East. We just had the last president be able to tip the Supreme Court in his party’s favor for potentially the next 40 years

It’s somewhat disturbing that you guys are voting age adults and can’t see this

Pre-George W. Bush, the American presidency was a position of admiration and, at the very minimum, taken seriously even by the countries that hated America.

Obama restored dignity to the position, but some couldn't handle it, and the stereotype of the 'stupid American' came to the forefront. The country that everyone admired became a full laughingstock by the time Trump was running for office.

Biden and Harris were like a pause; you wouldn't see or hear much from either of them. The country's and its leadership's image is in free fall with the situation in Israel right now.

Trump and his supporters back in power probably do irreparable damage for, at the very least, the rest of our lifetimes. So, yes, it is important for everyone to get out and vote. Like anything else, showing cracks in the armor invites testing, and America has a lot of chickens waiting to come home to roost. China, Russia, India, most of the Middle East are all ass backwards places that with the right/wrong person taking over could want to show that they’re big boys to be taken seriously on the world stage as well.

It's a shame that Biden is who the Dems are running, but Trump's people will keep setting up shyt that seemed impossible not that long ago, like reversing Roe v. Wade and getting rid of affirmative action. And for everyone who won't vote unless reparations come, do you imagine they're coming from the party that won't even allow a black business grant or black scholarship?

As the great Canadian whore/rapper Chromazz once said, 'Are you stupid? Are you dumb?'
