Let's forget that it was destined, the real reason why Griffith cops that cosmic L is because he decided to get emotional over some stupid ass shyt. Even the best of homies go their separate ways in life that's just how it is but this dude Griffith throws a fit and makes one of the worst moves of his career over a goon that wanted his own life :dame:

Death Note

Light pretty much made his own block hot by killing that dude on live TV. If he just ignored the broadcast he would have been able to kill criminals without having to worry about the feds.

Someone should remake that movie. It holds more resonance in these times.

I think he was going to throw the fight but just happened to land some crazy punch that had the unintended effect of killing the guy.

if he’s throwing the fight he has to at least make it look like he’s fighting back and in doing so landed a punch that killed the guy.

now had his dumbass woman just remembered his watch…

No he threw it intentionally. After the fight he gets in a phone booth and calls some guy. Their conversation shows he obviously bet on himself to win and therefore won a lot of money for not throwing the fight. He planned it ahead of time.
