blathering blatherskite!
if they don't direct the game they can still executive produce and have a pretty big say on how the game turns out. i'm not sure what more someone like aonuma or nomura for instance are going to give us being hands on at this point.
alot of these dudes refuse to inject their companies with a formula or a mission statement so shyt falls apart once they leave. and then the lack of confidence from the younger dudes cause everybody expected to make ocarina of time when they get promoted and its not hitting like that. i give all three of those dudes bout 3 more games.
I think the next Kingdom Hearts is the last game Nomura directs

In a recent interview with YoungJump (via VGC), Nomura spoke about his plans for the future and said that he “only has a few years left” before he retires as the creator is set to turn 54 later this year. On this note, he explained that he is deciding whether he wants to wrap up the Kingdom Hearts storyline before retirement, noting that he is making Kingdom Hearts 4 “with the intention of it being a story that I will complete.”
