How many games does Kojima, Eiji Aonuma and Todd Howard, etc. have in them?

We’re coming to a point where a lot of the bigger industry vets are getting up there in age. Even Miyazaki is 50

Kojima is 61, we know he’s working on DS2 due out next year and OD maybe the year after. Physint seems like it will take years to make, at least 5 so he will be 67 by that time that drops.

Todd Howard is 54, by the time ES6 drops he will probably be 58/59.

Aonuma is also 61, another 3d zelda probably puts him around 65.

For comparison, Miyamoto is 71 and still works as producer, prob not as hands on though like the people above. With game timelines getting longer its weird to think a lot of everyone’s favorite game makers only got one or two more left in them.

This is a path that Druckmann relates to; "I could see myself transitioning to something that's more low-key, and lower stressed, that still allows me to have this creative outlet. But you know, I've started thinking about how many more of these games I have in me, and it's not that many

Its crazy to think an entire presidency goes by between AAA games now

Somewhere tropic...
Far as I'm concerned Todd can GTFOH
If he aint making Metal Gear Kojima can FOH too
I'd like to see Druckmann make TLOU3 and ride off into the sunset
I believe they have a finite amount of classics in them
Todd way past his prime and getting circles lapped around him
Retire on top, don't stick around like Shaq

I think Kojima is moving on from MGS completely.

Naughty Dog released Uncharted 1-3 and The Last of Us from 2007-2013. They've released two new games since then.

if they don't direct the game they can still executive produce and have a pretty big say on how the game turns out. i'm not sure what more someone like aonuma or nomura for instance are going to give us being hands on at this point.

alot of these dudes refuse to inject their companies with a formula or a mission statement so shyt falls apart once they leave. and then the lack of confidence from the younger dudes cause everybody expected to make ocarina of time when they get promoted and its not hitting like that. i give all three of those dudes bout 3 more games.
