Roman being smiley faced with late night hosts, cracking jokes and being a swell Cena type comes off awkward. That’s no shot at him. This version of Roman might be my favorite wrestler of all time. No cap..
But still, it comes off unnatural because that’s just not him. He’s not the charismatic “golly guys, watch me on Smackdown this Friday” smile ear to ear type muhfukka. Now a lot of that could be attributed to the fact that he portrays a villain on tv. That’s fine. Still, that shyt ain’t him. He’s much better suited as the coolest guy in the room type. The final boss. That’s where his star power is. He’s the good looking, silent badass that walks into a room and everyone gets quiet because they know a fukkin star is present.
I think Cody is better suited as the happy go lucky, shake-hands-with-everybody company man. WWE been looking for a nikka to fill them shoes. They’ve had the Miz take on that role and he does a good job of it, but he’s just not over with the crowd enough for it to be that effective.
