AEW is already doing it with Dark & Elevation on YouTube. No one watches them shyts, so that should answer your question
Not happening to wwe.
May happen to an AEW show tho.
It won’t until streaming overtakes live tv as the most common way people watch tv. I would say 15-20 years. However, I think by that time, the streaming services would have merged and we would get something like a Hulu 3.0 anyway so it wouldn’t make a difference
And Netflix has already said they want to get into live contentProbably going to be sooner than that. Live sports is the final threshold and if Amazon's NFL package is a success, Apple, Disney+, and Amazon are going to be players in broadcast rights. Already Apple has the rights to MLS and some MLB games.

I think if AEW went to DAZN for their PPVs or maybe a Special Show once in a while, I think that would be for the best. WWE doesn't care about AEW, they are more focused on how do they appeal to the General Audience. I think AEW should ask itself, "are you appealing the audience or are you catering to the more adult male focus?"
I just don't think AEW should be on TNT or TBS, its not like the 90's.
AEW would be better off putting their PPVs on HBO Max. We know HBO Max can handle huge volumes of viewers since Game of Thrones/House of Dragons pulls in like 10M+ viewers.
