But he has not and will NEVER surpass KD

Durant was injured most of last year, and he's just getting into form this year. Except for Curry, they're not another player in the league that can break open a game like a healthy KD.

Why you say that?

Because his shooting is a bit unsustainable at the volume that he takes them. He's a nice three point shooter, but not 45% on 7 attempts good and his mid range game is already coming back down to earth. Like Kawhi, would expect the efficiency to drag down as the season goes on and it shouldn't be a serious comparison between he & KD for better player unless KD gets injured again.

When I look up scoring leaders on ESPN.com durant isnt even on the list even though hes averaging 28. Anyone know why?

Paul George is averaging more across the board right now. He's played more games than Durant. His team is better and he's the only superstar on the team. He also plays defense better than Durant.
