lol Jumps on Mafioso sound, In my lifetime was already out and RD was recorded in like 94-95. So yeah he might've been inspired by Kool G Raps rap. But who are the rappers and producers?

Vol. 1 = I'll give you The Hitmen, some of bigs old producers, since he was on the bad boy tour and was fukking heavy with Puff and Big building some of his closets friendships till this day.

Vol 2? Label mates, it would be odd if they didn't collaborate.

Vol. 3? Were the south hot though? UGK was basically unknown and Juve wanted Jay for a remix, jay paid him back with giving him a guest spot.

Dynasty? West Coast beats  Cause Rick Rock was so hot..

BP = Eminem, maybe i'll give you that.

That's 3 cats (Juve, Hitmen and Eminem) in 6 years that are hot on 6 different albums
Other rappers have more cats on 1 song. Give me any rapper with some type of success with a 6+ year career who isn't from the 80s and I bet they have more popular cats on their shyt.

They were not unknown, but in the sense of being hot = they were basically unknown. When they collaborated it had gone 3 years since their last album. They were basically underground/southern vets at that time.

:aicmon: they weren't big time stars, but they were far from unknown, and I'm calling ducktales on you saying Juvie wanted Jay for the Ha remix, that was Jay hoping on it on his own move, no need to make stuff up to defend Jay like that

Of course they weren't unknown they had a fukking hiphop classic, put the word into context like a grown up. I heard the same story as the interviewer who asked Juvenile the question.

Then don't say they were basically unknown dumbass, talking about putting the word into context, I swear you're one smart dumb nikka that never knows what he's talking about. And if you heard the same interview, you would know Juvenile didn't want Jay on the remix and you would know Jay wanted to be on it on his own, so why would you say he wanted Jay on the remix then? Just another example of you making up shyt like you usually do, you stan so hard for Jay, I mean, does he pay your car note? Pay your rent? Is he putting food on your table?

To be fair, I understood exactly what he meant. They weren't mainstream like that. Jay did hop on the Juvie joint on his own though.

Bro, dude said they were basically unknown, then said they had a classic album, that classic album did go gold too, I know people out west and in Chicago that know of UGK back then, they are my older cousin's friends, mind you I was a kid in the 90's. Its a blatant contradiction

LOL, I hear you. I guess I just read it the way I understood it in my head. I was a kid in the 90s too and I didn't know who UGK were until Hov put them on that track.

Hov goes for whatever sound is hot.

If dudes were rhyming over Polka samples he'd be all over that shyt.

But Harry Fraud isn't hot outside of hipster bloggers in NYC. Now if you see Jay-z bobbing like this
JAYZGERVAIS2.gif
in some Berlin nightclub then he may hop on some shyt. But Jay-z has long ago left behind that muddy, minimal instrument, sped up soul sample sound since the dynasty
