Let's discuss this. Do you see it taking over 2020 ? Will we see veterans like Fab and Meek hopping on AXL and 808 Melo and other UK drill type beats ? Or do you think this phase will be short lived ?

My Pops Forever RIP
They went from denying it to completely appropriating it. New York crips and bloods making drill music. Only region with no original culture right now :pachaha:
y'all gotta get off this shyt. These young kids are out here making the kind of music young kids like them fukk with. Nothing more. Nothing less. These kids aren't out here with the kind of superiority complex older heads had because they weren't raised solely off boom bap (and let's be honest, that's all y'all really talking about when it comes to NY rap. Y'all just want everyone to stick to making boom bap records so y'all can call the whole region dusty and :flabbynsick:) Trust me, older heads are still not fukking with any of this new shyt out here. This is the "Y'all know the vibez" era. That knows no region.

Only thing I don't like about NY loving UK Drill is that they don't fukk with the real deal UK drill stuff and think Pop Smoke broke new ground.

I hear what you're saying but even in 2019 artists from Atlanta & the South in general definitely have a distinct sound.

The problem I have with drill is that there's nothing innovative about the sound at all. Not saying there aren't some good songs but I can't think of any drill artist in 2019 who made a good body of work.

I'm in my 20s so definitely no nostalgia for boom bap records either.

Think teenage gang members care about what the fukk you have to say brehs

Nikka said appropriating. This is the culture in the streets all this shyt came from the conflict between the Woos and Chos. All these new lingos, all these dances, all these flows, all these personalities is original culture goofy.

These Axl and 808Melo beats are simply the soundscape these teens found searching for type beats on YouTube.
