They really don't have that many capable championship stars so I can see him being a heel champ even if it's a short transitional run. At least until they build up the rest of the roster but most of the main eventers have already been built up. Only Hangman is the one that still may need work and he got a title shot already. Considering that Cody is the only one besides Jericho who understands character work, he'd be a better fit for champion than 90% of their roster. In fact, I'd only put Omega, Moxley, Pentagon and Fenix as guys in a better position as champ if you look at their current roster.
