I like picking on AEW but it seems silly to try to make a scene over cody/bucks/kenny/jericho winning shyt just because they run the promotion.

Cody will definitely be a champ 1 day if he stays healthy. His performances so far tell me he’s ready, I don’t think there’s a rush for him though as Jericho makes a lot of sense but when that time comes for him he should be elevated even more if he keeps up the great work. He’s really improved, he’s got a good balance of in ring abilities and storytelling abilities. I can picture him having interesting feuds and storylines as champ. On every AEW show he’s had either the best match or 1 of the best, he hasn’t disappointed at all. I hope he keeps winning and becomes the main event level star his performances deserve, have been impressed and respect his growth.

If Cody ends up being champ, it’s because Tony and probably the rest of the Elite all signed off on it.
