I came into this wanting to like it outta respect for Wu but the shyt just fukkin sucked 
Started out like a cheesy tongue-in-cheek chinese martial arts flick like the old Shaw Bros joints and I was ok with that, then somewhere along the way it started taking itself too seriously and just crashed
Russel Crowe was the only muhfugga in the movie who could act. Rza should've checked his ego and dialed down his role or at least not made himself the star of the shyt, this nikka was lookin completely ridiculous trying to sell serious scenes with his Staten Island accent in the middle of feudal japan
Fight scenes were dope but damn, I took one for the team sitting through this bullshyt and not asking for a refund yall take note

I liked it. It was a homage to the old films, but it did get cheesy towards the middle. It started to take a tone of Big Trouble in Little China, except only Russell Crowe & Silver Lion was really playing their roles with the proper tongue-in-cheek. It's good tho...the weapons alone.

I liked it. The review about it being a mess was right for the first half, a lot if felt rushed and like they cut too much out. The directors cut will be better. Second half was dope and didnt feel rushed imo.
Rza worked as a main character imo, Batista was gully and my favorite character.
Rza paid homage to The Killer in the brothel towards the end, the girl on stage is singing the blind girl's song from the killer

It was a cool homage to the old school Saturday afternoon kung-fu theater flucks but the biggest weakness in the movie was Rza.
Dude not only can't act but he looked awkward and uncomfortable as fukk in every scene he was in especially the fight scenes. A portly Russell Crowe moved more naturally in his action scenes than Rza. Plus that Brooklyn accent was distracting as all hell.

why the brooklyn accent? why did batista have tattoos when he couldnt be cut? this wasnt a flick for you to sit around and go like this too

I'm highly disappointed...
RZA watched the same movies I used to watch, and those fight scenes were so weak...Too much slow motion....Too much wire-work...Too many power moves...not enough straight fighting with blocking and counters....The camera was too close...No excuse RZA...none...
It had potential....Brass body was a dope idea...The Gemini muhfukkas was straight....Lucy Lu got busy..
But man...could've been sooooooooooo much better...I'm disappointed...
