I'm looking at Baker Mayfield on Get Up right now and I'm more swole than he is. I've noticed that with some other NFL players. Those dudes should all be swole since they have access to the best trainers and nutritionists. Some of y'all are a lot more swole than some NFL players and I'm not talking about kickers and punters.

well lets be honest aesthetics and functional strength are completely different...Typically more strength = a bigger muscle. Trouble is most of us relate being swole to also having a low bodyfat percentage along with good muscle mass....Walking around at legitimate under 10% body fat isn't really healthy especially in a contact sport....

We can't compare functional performance to aesthetics. Functional performance includes conditioning and strength relative to size.

Now to the point Baker Mayfield really doesn't need to be a physical specimen no QB does...They are more so skill based I wouldn't expect them to look as good as what I would expect a WR/CB to look...And RB's and LBs are whom I would always assume would be the most in shape sometimes even they don't look like you would assume.

Could Cam Newton or Jamies be in better shape of course would it really have much of an affect on the field maybe not...I'd think Cam would be open to more injury if he was lighter. But you are on to something a lot of Football players don't look good but they do tend to have great conditioning for their size and strength/speed in relation to their size.

I don't think I have ever seen a QB that was in the type of shape of a bodybuilder/sprinter.

Great points. I have no rebuttal.
