It's using a computer to snap your sounds to the beat. It helps when folks mess up, are rhythmically challenged, or suffer from input lag to the computer. To make beats without quantizing AT ALL takes a lot of practice and impeccable timing. But you get better grooves.

shyt process so slow, its always off...but sometimes it helps, adds a different swing that makes the track flow better
