every year we get hype as shyt for the draft I’m going to show you how this isn’t an exact science.
Also had teams had some vision and picked others around their pick imagine their fortune

As a Chicago bears fan in the past 10 years

2010-2020

let’s take a look

2010

our first pick was 3rd round

spent about 4 years on the team
About a 100 tkls less than 10 tkls for loss and 9 ints

not bad for a 3rd rounder

4th round Corey Wooten

we missed on Joe McKnight, Walter Thurmond, Geno Atkins, Dennis Pitta, Aaron Hernandez

People, including many Patriots fans love to give BeliGOAT crap for his "poor drafting", but I don't think it's been nearly as bad as many like to make it seem. Quite frankly, I think he's done well in the last ten years. You're not going to hit all the time, especially when you are picking near the end of the first round and had a first round pick stolen by Goodell.

I didn't add players drafted last year, although I believe Dugger will be elite. I didn't add N'Keal Harry either as he hasn't performed to his potential yet.

I would love for someone to tell me how this is "terrible drafting" while the Patriots always have one of the latest picks.:dead:.

People like revisionist history more than anything when it comes to drafting. And, I really believe Patriots fans as a whole are among the worst when it comes to this. When it comes to drafting, you don't always need to find that "stud" in the later rounds if you have an excellent team. You may just need to find that player that fits perfectly into a role, and that's what the Patriots have done. People saying they haven't had a pro-bowler picked since 2013 are using a weak argument.

Here are their first and second round picks since 2010. Most of these players have ended up being very good players. You don't have to be an all-pro to be a great player.

McCourty
Gronkowski
Cunningham
Spikes
Solder
Dowling
Vereen
Chandler Jones
Hightower
Tavon Wilson
Jamie Collins
Aaron Dobson
Easley
Jimmy G
Malcom Brown
Jordan Richards
Cyrus Jones

i think peoples biggest gripe with Bill, he’s always trying to be the smartest guy in the room, when he drafts, and will pass up on clear talent in hopes of hitting a grand slam, it’s only so often that a 6’2 corner that runs a quick shuttle can become a stud.

As a Dolphins fans ours probably been below average over the past decade

The few guys we got that were good we didn’t resign resign them because of having a shytty product on the field and they got better offers somewhere else or we traded them

Jarvis Landry - gone

Pouncey was good when healthy now retired

Laremy Tunsil one of the best tackles in the league but we traded him

Xavien Howard arguably the best corner in the league, that worked out

Tannehill was average but once he finally started clicking he tore his acl

Minkah Fitzpatrick..... traded :francis:

Charles Harris- BUST

Dion Jordan - drugs/BUST

And, I would ask people what "clear talent" has he passed on for a poor player in the late first round and second round, where it gets closer to a crapshoot?

People keep saying Metcalf and Samuel, but every team passed on them.

Look at all of his draft picks at 22 or so and higher. He almost always hits a HR on those.

I think that's why I love the draft. It's so random.

3 75 Terron Armstead OT Arkansas-Pine Bluff HOF'r
3 82 John Jenkins DT Georgia rotational DT
5 144 Kenny Stills WR Oklahoma great find for a slot even tho we traded him 2 years later
6 183 Rufus Johnson DE Tarleton State :yeshrug:

3 105 Adam Trautman TE Dayton gonna be good
7 240 Tommy Stevens QB Mississippi State I think we tricked somebody into taking this bum off our PS cause of Taybang comparisons:mjlol:

A lot of these cats drafted just to be bodies in camp and never turn out to be anything. That funnel out process is crazy in the NFL. A lot of cups of coffee being given out in the league.
