Above the fray.
If I recall correctly, the story was that he was going to go back to Europe cause the Nets was half-stepping on a new contract.
Think he felt snubbed by not making second or first team all NBA that year

Jordan and Mark Price were 1st team
Dumars and Stockton were 2nd
Petro and Tim Hardaway made 3rd

I've been thinking about him every June for some time now...

Honestly it took a couple of decades to get over some warmongering talk that felt like heart stabbing at the time, like a betrayal by someone you adored... and other Croatian players, like Kukoč or Rađa, never seemed so invested in war propaganda...

Now I think I understand more - he was half Serb and needed to prove his "Croatianess", and it's surprisingly easy to succumb to war propaganda...

Our greatest seem to die in June in car accidents in their prime.
The greatest from the 60s Radivoj Korać died on 2 June 1969 at the age of 30 in a car accident near Sarajevo.
It seems by design.
We ask too much of them: we need them every summer for international ball after every professional season, usually always leading the team...
They get no rest for years...

Jokić got a lot of critics in Serbia for not playing every summer with the national team.
If he decides to play more often, I really hope he will get a professional driver. And I'm not joking.

Elite shooter.
Imagine if those Portland teams had Drexler, Petrovic and Sabonis.

You can't tell me they don't dominate the early 1990s.
@Rhakim

But these young kids just refuse to let go of the Jordan stannery.
I don't get what this is supposed to mean. Dude played for the Nets, but you randomly make up a scenario of some 'what if' Portland superteam and then bring up Jordan stannery out of the blue:wtf:

And then tag your boyfriend for a cosign:mjlol:

Petrovic and Sabonis were drafted by Portland.

But of course you don't get what it's supposed to mean.
Casual.

But a team with them didn't happen.
Why are you bringing up Jordan stannery for something that didn't happen in regards to another team? Why you calling other men for a cosign of your fantasies?:dame:

Do I really need to explain how obvious this is?
That a team that took the Bulls to 6 games without 2 of the most gifted players of their era that should have been on the team would almost certainly have changed the landscape of the league and the narrative of who is the greatest player/dynasty ever?

Please dude.

Would have, could have, if....
If Kucoc came to America when the Bulls drafted him in 90 he would have been on all the champion squads...If Horace Grant took PEDs he could have been ALL NBA....
Just say you took an opportunity to say why Jordan makes :umad:

But back on topic.......Euro was a beast :myman:

The Traps of Unified Korea
Drazen was that dude. He gave MJ and Pip that work in the Olympics they was like :ohhh::krs:. I still have his rookie card. Thats what made the bulls go and get Toni Kukoc
The Bulls already had Toni Kukoc's rights. That's why Pip and MJ went so hard at him at the Olympics, as a fukk you to Krause and the Bulls management who were hyping him up.

Yeah, but we had no idea what we had when we had him. Our stupid front office brought Danny Ainge in to knock him out of the rotation then traded him away to the Nets for a washed Walter Davis who we then released after the season. It was shocking when he blew up. Imagine if Justin James was traded to Orlando and started averaging 20+ ppg on nice shooting within a year, that's basically how out of nowhere it was.
