T- Pain influenced who did 808's and then everybody and they mama wanted to use auto tune.
That album is cool on it's own artistic merit but I don't like the influence it (really T-Pain) had on Hip Hop.
It's cool when 1 or 2 people are doing something but the minute it becomes a trend it's wack.
Ye was able to pull it but it became wack and redundant when everybody and their mama tried to make that auto tune emo music
And the real influence for that album came from T-Pain. Ye needs to thank his ass for the influence. lmao

Bruh, T-Pain was the ONLY nikka doing AUTO TUNE (NOT THE TALK BOX OR VOCODER --- which cats like Stevie Wonder, Roger Troutman, Teddy Riley and DeVante used in the past) before Ye started using it.
I said Ye was INFLUENCED by T-Pain. I didn't say he copied his style of production or nothing, lol.
But he got the idea from T-Pain to use the auto tune. T-Pain was even apart of the damn recording sessions for 808's. He talks about it here
That's not the extent of its influence. The Love Below did the same. Same goes for much of Diddy's Press Play. What Kanye did was more so influence Drake and 40 with the style of production he used on that album.
