The problem is, when Supes first came into existence. Nobody thought about it that deeply. Not the writers, and not the fans. Back then, all you needed for a disguise was something over your eyes. Like the Lone Ranger or in this case Superman.

Fast forward and people nowadays wonder how people don't know. They come up with all sorts of excuses, but really, it makes no sense in the end. Superman is the most popular person in the world. He's been on TV countless times. Forget his hair and glasses. 2 seconds standing next to Clark Kent in "real life" and the jig is up. Its not so in the comics because its tradition and as long as its even semi reasonable as far as the explanation goes, people will buy it....most people anyway.

The explanation nowadays that seems to get the nod is the one that states that because Superman doesn't wear a mask, people assume that he doesn't have a secret identity....only the audience is aware that he has one. So when people see Clark Kent, they are like "Damn, you look like Superman....." but they dismiss it because as far as they know superman is always superman and he has never attempted to have an alternate identity. Its a pretty good explanation and to me, its really the most interesting part of Supes.....(I find him sorta boring) So I'm willing to ride with that

They've created a number of things to explain why people don't know he's Clark Kent.

The way he talks, the pitch of his voice, his posture, their personalities, etc.

Batman also has a number of things that would not make the average person think he's Batman. For one thing, Bruce Wayne is a billionaire playboy who despite employing thousands, has a reputation for being a pompous ass, a jerk to women, totally oblivious to the plight of the poor, and not exactly in the shape it would take to do what the Batman does, which if criminals are to believed, is borderline superhuman. Batman also changes his voice and is completely different person when he's not around people. Bruce is the disguise at this point, the real man is Batman.

I don't agree. Superman wears a blue outfit with a different "whiteboy" hair style and no glasses.

A wrestler for instance can easily get away with not being noticed if they not in there uniform and is not 7' tall
I've met plenty of them. Here's another example (more exteme)
Celebrities today, you see them w/out makeup and you wouldn't even notice them.
Same could be said about superman/klark kent because he always has glasses.. a suit.. slightly different hair steelo... yeah, he can pull it off.
You ever see somebody and you think "Man, he looks just like such n such"
