really dope album, way better then eye initially expected..to moi its like a hybrid of Streets Disciple/God's Son with a touch of IWW thrown in
didn't deserve an XXL rating though,Summer on Smash is horrid, joint with MJB ain't much better..other then that though great album

Can you drop a link to a bigger size version of your AVI? wanna post that shyt on my facebook for some laughs.
so out of 14 tracks + 4 bonus cuts, there are 2 songs you dont like....and its a "really dope album" and "great album" but doesnt deserve an XXL rating?
the album gets 3.5 or 4 out of 5. lyrically and delivery wise, nas is definitely in a good zone. that's the nas we want to see. and he's going a lot on personal thoughts, memories and ideas which is also very good. song wise it was so-so to me. beats weren't bad but nothing mindblowing. choruses were whatever. songs overall didn't really touch me like that overall. i just listened to what nas had to say (which was still interesting) and then it's whatever. it doesn't really touch me like that.
again nas was definitely doing his thing delivery wise, lyrically and content wise. nothing wack on the album. i liked locomotive, queens story, Nasty grew on me, but i honestly can't remember too many other songs that i see myself playing over and over again even if they were good.
3.5-4 out of 5.
this is how i feel too but i LOVE the chorus to "you wouldn't understand". my girl digs this album too but she thinks nas is mad cute. nas is certainly one of the greatest but i don't think i could spend ~$25 for the vinyl of this album new. now the used bin, however....
It gets better the more you listen to it.
It gets better the more you listen to it.
Listen agained and it got better, still nothing unbelievable.
People saying classic make me laugh, every album is classic on the internet a week after it drops then 4 months later people saying it has no replay value.
I know I will be bumping Cherry wine, Queens Story, Stay, No Introduction, Trust, Loco-Motive forever.
Bumpin it now. Classic shyt.
