How does Romney get away with contradicting himself constantly?

Are people just seriously burying their head in the sand and pretending like they don't see it?

dude says the blind trust is a ruse then says the blind trust handles all his foreign account money.

he was pro-choice then pro-life then he said he doesn't have anything in his agenda on the issue then said he wants to overturn Roe vs Wade.

he shyts on damn near half the country and says they'll never take responsibility for themselves and he basically don't give a fukk about them then comes back and cares about 100% of the population in the US.

i've never seen a candidate shift positions so frequently during a campaign and not get called out on it. do his supporters even know his real positions on anything or is this one of those i'm a republican he's the candidate so i support that deals?

how can you believe in a person that doesn't take a consistent stand for anything? he's damn near making a mockery of all his supporters by flip flopping right in their faces then doing it again.

Two reasons -

1. I'm not really sure why, but Democrats (and most liberals in positions of power) seem to inherently be puzzies. They're too busy being scared that FOX news will say something bad about them to ever call out Republicans on anything. Obama is a prime example of this.

2. The Republican base is too busy blindly hating Obama to pay much attention to Romney. The GOP could just pick a name from a phonebook and stick an "R" next to it and the base would support whoever it was just for not being Obama. These are people that honestly think Obama is a Muslim/Socialist/Marxist that wants to destroy America. I've listed to right-wing talk radio and they literally think Obama is the 2nd coming of Hitler.

dude is so bold with the lies at this point he's not even trying to hide it. his swag is pretty much that he can say anything at any time and stand behind nothing. he'll go on TV and say something like My plan has protection for kids being on their parent's health care plans or pre-existing conditions and that same day his campaign will put out a statement that it doesn't

Romney's gonna be Romney. Back during the primaries and the months after he was trying to play the far-right wing/hardcore Republican/Tea Party role to appease the Republican base. Now that he knows he has those votes locked up (since it's not like they'll vote for Obama), he's trying to be moderate again and win undecided voters.

Politicians always do this, but Romney is particularly blatant with it.

Because he's a wealthy white man in a country that values personal wealth and is mostly white.

And because like others have said, democrats are too scared of losing independent voters(who usually are conservatives or who don't really vote anyway)

The media desperately wants a close, "exciting" race so they turn a blind eye to it as well.

But truth be told Obama and the Dems are fukking up by not bombarding swing voters with Romney flip flop ads. There should've been atleast 5 of them released by now since the debate.

Obama contradicts himself too.

As we all know, Obama's 2008 campaign slogans included "Change We Can Believe In", "Vote for Change", and "Change versus More of the Same". Now, we all know he's talking about changing from Republican direction to democratic direction as it applied to the 2008. But now, it's 2012.

President Obama said today the "most important" lesson he learned during his first term in the White House is that "you can't change Washington from the inside,"
