Because New Yorkers eat those places like everyone else. Everyone will agree they not better than mom and pop pizza chains, but those are some of the most successful nationwide pizza chains, so they gonna sell pizza no matter where they at. Italy has Dominos. It’s not like every person in Wisconsin only eats the best of the best cheese, or every person in Idaho only eats the finest potatoes. NY and pizza no different

I couldn’t eat at those dominos, Pizza Hut, papa John’s spots but the average pizzeria pie with one topping in Queens is around 22-25 then add the garlic knots (12pc for 6-8) and a soda is almost 3 dollars. So give or take a family pizza dinner out here is around 30-34 dollars (plus tip which will make it’s 33-37).

I just did a quick Google search on Domino’s and you can get two large pizzas for 19 and a whole bunch of sides for under 5 dollars.

:yeshrug: If your a parent in this crazy price city trying to feed your kids which one are you going with?

Local is the way to go if you just getting 2-3slices..

The prices on a large pie with more than 1 topping be over $20..

You can get 2 medium 2 topping for like $5.99 each. At dominos.

Dominos and Pizza Hut ,Little Cesar's have the money to put ads on tv as well so you only know their deals.

So you showed me a one topping (bbq chicken) pizza for 24 dollars. I guess you can enjoy your little spot but that doesn’t change the fact other families shop at Pizza Hut or dominoes because it’s cheaper. So……

I'm not eating chain pizza unless someone else buys it or we all chipping in and there's no other choice

I live in Brooklyn, there's no need for me to sully my mouth with that shyt when Luigis on DeKalb and Hall got the best slices in my neighborhood

And yeah it's more expensive...that's what happens if the building is'nt owned by the business...rent goes up...prices go up

Nikka most mom and pop pizza shops in NYC have Latinos making pizza, even the the best ones like your "Joe's Pizza" and "Bleeker Street Pizzas" of the city.

do the smaller pizza places have their own apps?

Most mom and pop pizza shops use "slicelife" for online orders (cut and paste isn't working on my phone rn)
